ABSTRACT
BELEAGUERED businessman Bill Cullen and his partner Jackie Lavin have promised to 'fight back' against the banks after a hotel owned by them was put into receivership last week 'without warning'. Their bullish vow comes after a High Court judge granted protection over the couple's five-star hotel by replacing an ACC Bank-appointed receiver with an examiner. Mr Cullen has now vowed to stand up to 'aggressive foreign banks', who he claims are not giving small businesses a fair deal.
