ABSTRACT
Finally, after 2,200 years of sightings, speculation and hoopla, astronomers have studied data from space probes and are able to state what Halley's comet is really like. Surprising conclusions of a recent symposium: the tumbling comet is jet black and has strange geysers spouting from cracks in its crust.
