ABSTRACT
The article discusses the factors which shape the attitudes of Indian-Americans on gun control in the U.S. It says that legal ownership of gun is restricted in India despite the 1959 law which allows every Indian citizens the right to own a gun. It mentions the National Association of Gun Rights India (NAGRI) which is created by gun enthusiasts to remove the stigma on licensed owners of gun. It also cites the speech of U.S. President Barack Obama on how to control gun violence.
