The article presents a study involving a modified high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-ultraviolet (UV) method for determining florfenicol (FFC) in fish feeds at high inclusion rates. FFC is described as a broad spectrum antibiotic used for the control of bacterial diseases in the aquaculture industry. It notes that the HPLC method was modified and extended to concentrations as high as six grams/kilograms (g/kg) in response to the increase in approved dose rate of Aquaflor in the U.S.
