ABSTRACT
The paper deals with the problem of grounding the choice of the topic for research which is an important stage of the research itself since it influences the efficiency and the results of the research, possibility for their implementation or presenting them in the form of the dissertation. There is emphasized that while determining the lines for the research one should take into account how deeply the subject has already been studied, the changes occurring in neighboring areas and the paradigm shift. The article introduces a new term - "enforced paradigm". The enforced paradigms feature fictional nature and result from peoples deliberate serf-serving activities.
