ABSTRACT
The article offers information related to the relevance of proper positioning of orthopaedic patients on operating table. It is stated that neurapraxias of the brachial plexus is the most common injuries associated with the lateral position used commonly in shoulder arthroscopy and hip arthroplasty. It is informed that the axillary roll should be placed beside the axilla, on the rib cage, to prevent it.
