Steve Patient survived `unsurvivable circumstances.' At 18, the rugged 185-lb. six footer left his parents' home at midnight on Christmas Eve for a short visit to a friend's house, traveling via snowmobile. After an accident, he spent 3-1/2 hours crawling 1,450 feet through sub-zero weather without sufficient clothing with a broken back and paralyzed legs.
