Peter DeVries' humorous writings have truths behind them. In his writings, his would-be atheists keep comically backsliding out of their unbelief, graciously lapsing into faith. He wants merely to mock our mockery of God, to laugh at our laughing riddance of the holy. God will not divorce his unfaithful.
