ABSTRACT
LADY Thatcher's biographer, Charles Moore, takes issue in this week's Spectator with a recent sketch by political cartoonist Gerald Scarfe which shows President Assad of Syria soaked in blood. According to Moore, Scarfe's been churning out this same type of cartoon featuring tinpot dictators since the 1960s. He writes: 'No gloss, no wit, no political nuance, no juxtaposition that might tell you something, just an extremely well-paid half-century drawing tyrants covered with blood, and a CBE too.' Calm down dear! Charles's knighthood is on its way soon, surely.
