Developing pharmacy technicians across the leadership spectrum

The article highlights discusses the new leadership development program implemented by the Johns Hopkins Hospital and United Health Services (UHS), to effectively use their pharmacy resources. As a part of the program, the need of new positions and skills required to perform duties was outlined by the department leaders, challenges facing the development of new technician roles were addressed and a systemwide managerial orientation was made mandatory for training in the health system.
