ABSTRACT
The article focuses on studies regarding the effect of stress to a person's immune system and cardiovascular health. It says that Hungarian researcher Hans Selye coined the term "stress" to describe a human body's nonspecific response to any demand to change. Doctor Amy Przeworski mentions that stress weakens the immune system, citing people with superficial wounds who has a longer time of healing due to stress. Meanwhile, the risks posed by chronic stress in police officers are discussed.
