ABSTRACT
This paper aims to explore the Qur'an in relation to scientific truths. After briefly touching on the development of this dichotomy throughout history, we discuss the Qur'an in terms of its main purposes, being a guide of belief, universality, and its connections with scientific truths. The paper points to the disciplines of scientific exegesis of the Qur'an (al-tafsir al-ilm: pertaining to any relevance between the scripture and any scientific finding) and Qur'an's miraculousness (i'jaz al-ilm: considering a confirmed scientific truth referred to in the Qur'an as an evidence for its miraculous divine nature) in addition to other general principles in dealing with the scripture's relevance to scientific truths.
