ABSTRACT
This study, discusses the contributions of William Bedwell, known as the father of all orientalist studies, in England to Arabic Language. Bedwell, as a researcher has not been much subjected to examinations by scientific circles, maintains his significant place in history thanks to both his books and the studies of some scientists who are either his students or influenced by him directly or indirectly. The first translations of Qur'an from original language to English, The voluminous Arabic-Latin dictionary which he was not able to print, and his other works are only few examples which show he deserves much more attention.
