ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the principle of anamorphosis which deliberately distorts the image to make it fit into a frame with a different shape and then restores it back again for its final presentation in its original proportions. Anamorphosis can be used as a screen changing shape method which helps makers of camera and projector lenses to eliminate optical aberrations in cinema pictures. It informs that this technique has been adopted by several cinematographers in their films.
