BBC Trust chairman Lord Patten tries desperately to keep inquiries into the Jimmy Savile sex scandal in-house. He writes an article for the Mail on Sunday headlined: 'Can it really be that no one inside the smug BBC knew what that criminal psychopath was doing?' Good question � but it's hardly the focus of the BBC's two, pussyfooting inquiries.
