ABSTRACT
BBC Trust chairman Lord Patten tries desperately to keep inquiries into the Jimmy Savile sex scandal in-house. He writes an article for the Mail on Sunday headlined: 'Can it really be that no one inside the smug BBC knew what that criminal psychopath was doing?' Good question but it's hardly the focus of the BBC's two, pussyfooting inquiries.
