ABSTRACT
SHE may be Scotland's 'First Lady' but she has avoided the political maelstrom since her husband got the keys to Bute House in 2007. Not that Moira Salmond is uninterested in politics. Husband Alex last week revealed she was so impressed by a speech against the Iraq War by former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin that she named one of her ducks after him. Sadly, Dominique Duck is no more, having fallen prey to the weapon of mass destruction that is the local otter population around the Salmonds' Aberdeenshire home.
