ABSTRACT
BRUSH SHIELS marked his 67th birthday this week by recording his 11th album and dedicating it to the staff of Connolly Hospital, whom he says saved his life after a heart attack. Seeing Brush when I visited him in hospital, it was clear if he ever threw away his guitar he has a new vocation - hospital chaplain. He has a remarkable way with people.
