ABSTRACT
What can be done then? In fact, there is a Garda Missing Persons unit that categorises cases as high, medium or low risk but its task is a herculean one. And there are many organisations, such as missingpersons.ie, that continue to do good work. A Facebook page - Trace missing persons Ireland - has almost 35,000 likes and regularly posts updates on missing people, including photos and details of last sightings. And, of course, Twitter is perhaps the most powerful tool in helping to find people.
