ABSTRACT
Operation Iceberg 9PM, BBC2 So far north that the summer sun never sets, Arctic Greenland is one of the last true wildernesses. It's also the birthplace of those most spectacular of objects - icebergs. Weighing up to 20 million tonnes and as tall as skyscrapers, these giants of the ocean exert a strong fascination. In this new two-parter (concluding Thursday), a team of scientists and adventurers - including Chris Packham and Helen Czerski - travel to one of the most unpredictable places on Earth to study the secret life of icebergs. If you think they're just floating chunks of ice, prepare to be surprised. In the first programme, the team explore a glacier - the sight of which gives Packham a sense of 'landscape culture shock'.
