ABSTRACT
A YOUGOV poll claimed this week that 78 per cent of voters who have deserted Labour since 1997 want net immigration reduced to zero. Even more striking, 67 per cent of current Labour supporters want the same. The party these 67 per cent back has long maintained that anyone wanting strict immigration controls is a racist a poisonous and ignorant assertion. What does Mr Miliband think about his supporters holding these views? Does he no longer want their votes? Or will Labour, desperate to regain power, start talking tough on immigration?
