ABSTRACT
In 1994 and 1995, the Slovenian judiciary underwent a major reorganisation. The Courts Act defined not only the courts of general jurisdiction but also special courts for specific areas of law, which were to be founded by means of separate acts. Thus, the labour and social courts were established in 1994 as based on the Labour and Social Courts Act. They commenced their work in 1995. A significant number of documents created by labour and social courts need to be presented permanently so as to ensure the protection of rights and to assist scientific research. Such documents can help us understand the direction of post-independence Slovenian social policy and also point out changes in the economy that Slovenia was facing at that time.
