ABSTRACT
The article expresses disappointment with the bare mountains in Clark Field Freeport zone in Pampanga which used to boast a pleasant mountain panorama. It points to the golf-casino-tourism project of South Korean firm Donggwang Clark Corp. as one of the reasons for the tree-cutting and bulldozing of the slopes. Figure shows the expected annual income and jobs creation from the project. Clark Development Corp. explained the tree-cutting and tree replacement work.
