ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the aspects of intestinal phagocytes, which are said to be equipped with the inflammasome-mediated production of interleukin (IL)-1β. It says that the use of IL-1β is limited by tight control. It states that the activation of inflammasome requires recognition of various microbial components. It adds that intestinal phagocytes can activate NLRC4 to change host defense.
