The article discusses technologies that are designed to improve the colorimetry of light emitting diodes (LED) in the filmmaking industry. It explains why, inspite of the benefits of LED lights, poor colorimetry can make things go awry when the camera splits the light into different colors when recording an image. Newer LED lights consist of those that self-calibrate and adjust the mix of colors to keep the colorimetry as accurate as possible.
