With the emergence of modern artistic grounds in the second half of the twentieth century, a noticeable growth has occurred in the American graphic design which was of significant importance in the establishment of contemporary American graphics. This research points out that at the end of the twentieth century, the performances of pioneering American designers in creating graphical works were shaped under impact of modern artistic movements and postmodern ideas; and that how American graphic designers prepared the ground for a new development in the contemporary American graphic design by drawing on modern artistic inclinations in the field of visual communication at the age of computer technology and digital revolution. Findings and results of the present research show that holding annual conferences and galleries with consideration of educational, research and protectionist goals on the one hand, and existence of art consultants in graphics and advertisement industry on the other hand, have played a major role in development of graphic design in the US for advertisement of contemporary cultural and trading goals.
