ABSTRACT
The article discusses the advancements in die-casting technology that has allowed the offering of a manufacturing advantage resulting in reduced costs for many metal components. With Dixon Quick Coupling able to convert a knurled sleeve for a quick-connect coupling from machining to die casting, they offer advice for others looking to do the same including picking the right part, particularly when net-shaped or near-net-shaped casting replaces machining.
