ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the availability of quality, affordable housing with specific services for seniors living on a fixed income through nonprofit organizations such as the Jewish Community Housing Corp. (JCHC) in New Jersey. It notes that JCHC owns and operates multifamily buildings with over 500 affordable apartments for the elderly, but they cannot meet the increasing demand. This situation encourages early application for affordable senior housing.
