ABSTRACT
The article reports that through the efforts of Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, the Gambia President Yayha Jammeh agreed to free two Americans to his custody on September 18, 2012. It says that the Amadou Scattred Janneh and Tamsir Jasseh were serving life sentence and 20-year imprisonment for treason, respectively. Jammeh further agreed to indefinitely expand a moratorium on death penalty in the country.
