ABSTRACT
The article discusses a study that determines the style and recipients of public interventions. It suggests that to maintain future financial stability proper understanding of the vulnerabilities and the effectiveness of public sector help in stabilising individual banks' funding is important. It adds that the size of a bank is an important determinant of key public British banking interventions and government funding or central bank liquidity insurance schemes.
