ABSTRACT
The article presents the preoperative transthoracic echocardiogram and specimen of the anterior mitral leaflet of a 55-year-old Caucasian woman who was diagnosed with pulmonary edema due to mitral regurgitation after an acute myocardial infarction 9 weeks earlier.
