ABSTRACT
The article reports that the Korean government announced the home-site for the Basic Science Institute (BSI) as a part of the International Science Business Belt (ISBB) program in May 2011, which is considered the most ambitious plan ever designed to attract outstanding human resources in basic science. According to plans, the BSI will host 50 research groups or centers, 15 groups at the Headquarters, 10 groups at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Daejeon.
