ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the complications associated with orthopedic surgery. It is noted that the most common post-operative complaint is pain. It is mentioned that it is common to have neurological deficits, especially post-operative paraesthesia over and just around a surgical scar. It is stated that a significant post-operative complication is ischaemia of the extremities, especially in patients with pre-existing vascular insufficiency.
