The article discusses the new standardized firefighting training curriculum, and the common pricing and assessment from the Fire Training Consortium of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system (MnSCU). Kathy Schwantes, chair of the Fire Training Consortium and dean of Customized Training & Education at Ridgewater College explains that it is for the delivery of foundational skills to ensure that firefighters are skilled and effective, particularly in protecting communities.
