ABSTRACT
The article presents global chemical construction news briefs as of August 27, 2012. The chemical manufacturer Sabic has requested bids for the construction of a polyacetal plant in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The chemical manufacturer Sinochem has received approval to build a petrochemical complex and refinery in Quanzhou, China. The chemical company BASF has awarded the Chicago Bridge & Iron Company a contract to build a butadiene extraction plant in Antwerp, Belgium.
