ABSTRACT
The article reports that according to Fitch Ratings, Chinese banks' first-half results in 2012 suggest asset quality and earnings are starting to be damaged by slowing economic growth and decreasing corporate profitability. Financial stocks like Bank of China Ltd. and China Construction Bank are found in most investment funds in the country due to their weighting in indices.
