ABSTRACT
The article presents information regarding the Standard Furniture Manufacturing Co. Inc. that recently decided to keep its plants open in Bay Minette and Frisco City, Alaska. It informs that in order to run the plant, the company made tough decisions like reduction of headcount and redesigning of the plant floors to increase efficiency by lowering labor costs. It mentions that the company reconfigured the equipments to increase the flow of production in Frisco City.
