The president of the professional organization the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) discusses the importance of leadership to an organization. He describes opportunities for leadership skills development for safety, health and environmental (SH&E) engineers at the ASSE in 2012, including a Leadership Conference, a Future Safety Leaders Conference for students, and a safety leadership symposium.
