ABSTRACT
The article offers information on coping with breast cancer through the experiences of Lorrie Shilling, a south Florida resident and a breast cancer survivor. Her story is one of incredible will to survive and move ahead with a lot of determination. Shilling, who is a self-proclaimed atheist, found deep comfort in the teachings of Buddhism during that time that provided her with the resilience she needed at a time of such turmoil.
