ABSTRACT
The article presents the essays that won in the 2012 Children's Essay Contest. The first place was won by Anna Katherine, a grade 6 student from Mississippi. Gage Fisher, a grade 5 student in West Virginia won the second prize, followed by 12-year-old Siyana Popova of Illinois. Honorable mention was given to 11-year-old Sarah Turnbaugh of Missouri and 11-year-old Hannah Delorto of Illinois.
