ABSTRACT
The article investigates the state of labor migration in Pakistan, particularly the stock and annual flows of Pakistani workers abroad and foreign remittances. Data shows the number of Pakistanis living/working/studying in different regions of the world as of 2004 and the annual placements of Pakistanis for employment abroad registered by the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE). Figures indicate the percent share of Overseas Employment Corp. (OEC) in overseas migration process.
