ABSTRACT
The article reports that Medical Letter, an independent evaluation service for health care providers, issued a statement expressing doubt about the clinical efficacy and safety of spinal manipulation. It noted the failure of clinical trials to demonstrate advantages over other treatments for neck pain, low back pain, and non-migrainous headaches, or advantages over sham interventions in treating asthma, dysmenorrhea, and enuresis.
