ABSTRACT
The Republic of Ireland is a country in Europe. It takes up most of the island of Ireland. The rest of the island is Northern Ireland, which is ruled by Great Britain. Ireland is called the "Emerald Isle" because of its green landscape. Irish literature, folk music, and dance are popular all over the world.
