The article presents information on the European Association for Heritage Interpretation now known as Interpret Europe founded in Ljubljana, Slovenia in July 2010. It is an independent, non-profit association bringing together people who are involved in heritage interpretation from all across Europe. It held its first annual conference in Freiburg, welcoming nearly 70 delegates from 22 countries in 2011.
