ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to reject the bid of the Corn Refiners Association to change the name of its high-fructose corn syrup to corn sugar in late May 2012. The group filed the application to the agency due to the bad reputation of the sweetener. A statement was issued by Sugar Association lawyer Dan Callister on the decision of the FDA.
