ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the use of helium and its production. It mentions that helium can be used in welding, food packaging and as heat transfer agent, in which it says that the use of helium in cryogenics is the most important application of the element. It states that the significant role of helium led to the creation of the U.S. government to the National Helium Reserve in Amarillo, Texas in 1925 with the aim to protect helium resources in the Great Plains. Moreover, it explores the move of the U.S. on selling its helium reserves and leave helium market which has led to the concern that the world is running out of helium.
