ABSTRACT
The article reports on new evidence which suggests that thylacines are driven to extinction on the mainland by dingo attacks for food competition as what has previously thought. It notes the findings of Dr. Mike Letnic of the University of New South Wales (NSW) and colleagues which compares the size of thylacine and dingo bones from similar areas. Moreover, it also notes the possibility that changes in Aboriginal culture and economy, coinciding with dingo's arrival.
