ABSTRACT
The stabilization approach for the discrete-time Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy control system is studied in this paper. Firstly, a concept of the efficient maximal overlapped-rules group (EMORG) is defined, and then a discrete-time piecewise fuzzy Lyapunov function is constructed in each EMORG. Based on the method of parallel distributed compensation, a new stabilization condition for the closed-loop discretetime fuzzy control system is proposed. This condition only requires finding local positive definite matrices in each EMORG. Compared with former stabilization approaches, this approach can not only overcome the defect of finding a common positive definite matrix but also reduce the number of solving Lyapunov inequalities largely. Finally, a simulation example shows the approach is effective and advantageous.
