Brazil inflation cools further

The annual inflation rate slowed to 4.99% in May from 5.1% in April, slipping for the 8th straight month. The pace was the slowest since Sept. '10. On a monthly basis, consumer price inflation eased to 0.36% from 0.64% in April, as personal expenses grew much more slowly and transportation fell.
