ABSTRACT
The article reports that the European Union (EU) has modified its State Aid approval for Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs) to allow the British government to change rules surrounding the vehicles. The new rules allow to increase size of businesses that can receive funds from VCTs from 7 million pounds in assets to 15 million pounds. The maximum headcount at companies can also be increased from 50 employees to 250.
