ABSTRACT
The article presents a study that investigates the role of syndecan-2 protein in perineural invasion of pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC) cells. The role of syndecan-two in invasion, migration and signaling of PDAC cells were analyzed through function in vitro assays and its expression was analyzed in human normal pancreas. It is found that SDC-2 silencing significantly reduced cell motility and invasiveness in the pancreatic cancer cell lines T3M4 and Su8686.

Background: p8 is a stress-induced protein with multiple functions and biochemically related to the architectural factor HMG-I/Y. We analyzed the expression and function of p8 in pancreatic cancer-derived cells. Methods: Expression of p8 was silenced in the human pancreatic cancer cell lines...

tRNase ZL-utilizing efficacious gene silencing (TRUE gene silencing) is an RNA-mediated gene expression control technology with therapeutic potential. Recently, our group demonstrated that a heptamer, mh1 (Bcl-2), targeting human Bcl-2 mRNA, can be taken up by cells without the use of any...

The laminin-5-?-2 chain is expressed in various invasive carcinoma cells. To clarify the relationship between laminin-5 expression and the development of intraductal papillary-mucinous tumors (IPMTs), we performed an immunohistochemical study of 26 IPMTs and 30 invasive ductal adenocarcinomas....
